Am. Can. Ch. Minuteman No Fear x Am. Can. Ch. Reggae's Blue Heaven
"Brat"
DOB: December 5, 1999
Bred by Kim Greenway (Reggae) & Kate McMillan (Minuteman).  Co-owned with Kim Greenway.  Currently residing with Kim Greenway.

I got a phone call one day from Kate, telling me there was a nice male puppy in Sharky's first litter that didn't yet have a home - would I be interested in growing him up, finishing his Canadian title, then maybe we could see about selling him, either to a pet or show home depending on how he turned out?
So, Brat came into my life with every intention of only being a temporary fixture.  At 6 months of age, he finished his Canadian Championship in 5 days straight, undefeated for Best of Winners and picked up a Best Puppy in Show along the way.

That was it, now he HAD to stay!!!!
I was lucky enough for Kim to give him to me on a co-ownership, and the rest, as they say, is history.

After many spectacular wins and broken records, Brat was diagnosed at the age of 5 years with cataracts in both eyes.  It was his first failed CERF, he was previously passed yearly.  The opthamolgist can not tell if the cataracts were hereditary or not, but since Brat is the first and only Minuteman dog to ever be diagnosed with them, it is thought that they are NOT hereditary.
After much heartbreak, the decision was made to retire Brat from the show ring permanently, and he was sent to Kim to live out his life as a cherished companion.  Don't get me wrong, I worshipped the ground Brat walked on, but I just am not able to give a blind dog a stable lifestyle, and Kim only has Brat and his mother now - she could devote her attention completely to his needs.  I miss him every day.
